There are also a couple of textual records in the collection that relate to the issuance of stamps and specimens.
The unemployment insurance revenue stamps cover most of the issues printed from 1941 through to 1968. As Danny Leong worked in with the Unemployment Insurance Commission, he was able to collect specimens of the stamps when the Commission no longer needed them. Most of the stamps are in large blocks, panes or sheets. Some stamps were mounted on cards or framed to show an entire year's series of stamps.
The unemployment insurance stamp log booklets include both specimen and issued and used booklets for each year in which the log booklets were printed.
The collection also includes some design material, including a die proof for an unissued agriculture industry unemployment insurance stamp and an irregular block of a plate essay proof of undenominated stamps.Additional information:Source of title:Title based on the name of the collector and contents of the collection.Custodial history:The material in this collection was collected by Danny Leong during his employment with the Unemployment Insurance Commission in British Columbia.
