The sub-series in this series were assembled from runs of material which were either too small or not prominent enough to warrant a series level status. For the most part, these files were created after Kaplan's tenure as Solicitor-General, though Sub-series 4 ("Political") holds earlier files; sub-series 5 ("Family and Personal") wholly precedes this era; and sub-series 7 ("'Separate' Solicitor-General Correspondence") is wholly from the Solicitor-General years. Hence the title - "post-ministerial", and yet "various", from other time frames.
