The records in this accession were created by the central registry of 1 Canadian Air Group, and document the deployment and training of Canadian squadrons at Canadian Forces Bases Lahr and Baden-Soellingen. Two types of records were transferred to the National Archives in this accession. Firstly, records documenting the administration of CFB Lahr and Baden-Soellingen including Ceremonies and Celebrations, Commander's Committees, Historical Matters, Accidents, Conferences and Meetings, and Defence Planning. Secondly, this accession includes records documenting Canadian squadrons in Operations, Exercises and Manoeuvres, Flight Training, and NATO. As well there are records documenting Flight Regulations, Flight Safety and Meteorological Reports.
It should be noted that though some records refer to CFB Lahr, the vast majority of the records in this accession document CFB Baden-Soellingen.
