This series documents André Burelle's activities following his sabbatical from the Federal-Provincial Relations Office in 1993. Many of the records in this series relate to André Burelle's written works, including his article series "Les contrevérités de Pierre Elliott Trudeau" and his book Le mal canadien : essai de diagnostic et esquisse d'une thérapie, as well as various texts presented at conferences, round tables and courses. The series includes typescripts, slide shows, newspaper clippings and reviews of Burelle's publications.

The series also includes correspondence with politicians, including Bernard Landry, Claude Ryan and Daniel Johnson, and with intellectuals, including Fernand Dumont, Charles Taylor and Gérard Bouchard. There are also some photocopies of photographs documenting Burelle's activities with Prime Ministers Pierre Elliott Trudeau and Brian Mulroney, as well as his involvement in negotiating the Canada-Quebec Accord Relating to Immigration and Temporary Admission of Aliens. The series also contains recordings of an interview with Burelle on the television program "Le Point" on the eve of the 1995 referendum, as well as a recording of the Institute for Research on Public Policy (IRPP) conference on the state of status quo, on April 26, 1995.
