Wright-Hargreaves Mines Limited : Located in Kirkland Lake, Ontario, the Wright-Hargreaves gold mine was discovered and staked by William Henry Wright and his brother-in-law, Ed Hargreaves in 1911. Mined down to 8200 feet, the Wright-Hargreaves mine was the deepest in the Kirkland Lake camp. It was the second-largest producer of gold in the camp (after the Lake Shore mine) and produced over 4.8 million ounces of gold between 1921 and 1965.

Wright-Hargreaves Gold Mines Limited was formed in 1916 to develop gold in Wright-Hargreaves mine. The company amalgamated with Lake Shore Mines Limited, LAC Minerals Ltd., and Little Long Lac Gold Mines Limited to continue as LAC Minerals Ltd. in 1985.
