Private Patrick Joseph Augustine (Tjopatlig) is a Mi'kmaq from Elsipogtog First Nation (formerly known as Big Cove), and is serving with the 1st Battalion, Black Watch (Royal Highland Regiment) of Canada. He relinquished his chieftainship in 1954 to serve the army and Canadian NATO Brigade.
