General note:

The prints in this album document Canadian army activities in Italy from October 9, 1943 - December 6, 1943. Events photographed include the advance and taking of Campbasso and the advance on Ortona. Subjects documented in the album include; jeeps, snipers, motorcycles, various armour, reconnaissance vehicles, pack donkeys, artillery pieces, anti-aircraft, troop carriers and transports, construction vehicles, captured German war trophies, German POWs and war dead, war graves and Remembrance Day ceremonies, and Colonel Ralston visiting the troops. Activities around Busso, Baranello, Colle d'Anchise, Spinete, and Castropignano are featured in the album.
