Inscribed beneath images: 103-1950 - This is a picture of one of the natives at Cambridge Bay. 104-1950 - This picture shows the emergency shelter being erected on Cape Porter. Fog was thick and the snow was driving heavily. Mr. Learmonth can be seen cutting blocks. Mr. Coombs and Mr. Fowler, the pilot and engineer respectively, can be seen on either side of the shelter. Mr. Nichols can just be noted as he is bending down possibly to pick up a block of snow. 195- 1950 - Peter Nattit, graduate from the Aklavik Indian Residential School, has proved himself very efficient and useful at the R.C.A.F. base at Cambridge Bay. He handles all the large machinery for clearing the air strip. 108-1950 - Eskimos who were victims of the polio epidemic seen by the Administrative Officer at King George Hospital, Winnipeg, in Feb. 1950.
