Additional information:General note:Des sept cartes manuscrites qui ont été produites dans le cadre de ce projet d'arpentage de la vallée du Saint-Laurent initié par James Murray (les cartes dites de Murray), cinq ont survécu : deux sont préservées à Bibliothèque et Archives Canada (la copie personnelle de James Murray, ici décrite, et celle du Board of Ordnance - NMC 17350; 4134060); deux sont à la British Library (copies de George III et de William Pitt); et une se trouve à la Clements Library de l'Université du Michigan (copie dite de Thomas Gage).
Report for the year 1921 (1919 to 1921), Map Division, p. 11: "A detailed survey of the St. Lawrence, made by order of Governor Murray in the year 1760-1-2, presented by the Admiralty has also been received. It is virtually a replica of part of the map known as the Murray survey, but being made in section bound together is more adaptable to reference."
