This sub-sub-series includes photographs that relate to activities or events attended by Stephen Harper as Prime Minister of Canada for the month of August 2011.
These photographs illustrate Stephen Harper's working visits to Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, and Honduras, including signing ceremonies regarding trade, tourism and investment, bilateral meetings, and meetings with business leaders (August 7-12).
It also contains photographs of Prime Minister Harper's annual Northern Tour which included visits to Resolute Bay and Baker Lake in Nunavut, Whitehorse and Haines Junction in the Yukon, and Yellowknife, Northwest Territories (August 23-26).
The sub-sub-series also portrays the lying-in-state in the foyer of the House of Commons (August 24) as well as the state funeral of Jack Layton, former Leader of the Opposition, in Toronto (August 27).
