This series documents the public addresses made by Stephen J. Harper, as Prime Minister of Canada as well as a leader of the Conservative Party of Canada between 2006 and 2015.

This series is divided in two sub-series. The first one, Transcripts of public addresses of Prime Minister Stephen J. Harper, includes the verbatim transcripts of addresses given by Stephen J. Harper between 2006 and 2015. These public addresses include speeches, as well as press conferences, photoshoots, bilateral meetings, interviews, scrums, question periods, official meetings, and political announcements.

The second sub-series, Prime Minister Stephen J. Harper's speeches, comprises documents created and managed by the Speechwriting unit of the Prime Minister's Office between October 2009 and 2015. From 2006 to 2009, the speech writing function was part of the Strategic Planning unit in Stephen J. Harper's PMO. This sub-series does not include records from that period.
