File consists of an album of photographs taken by commercial photographers including Stephen J. Thompson, R.H. Trueman & Co., and others. The prints depict hydraulic mining, numerous views of mines, mining activity, the Canadian Pacific Railway docks in Vancouver, logging activities, and salmon fishing. Locations are throughout British Columbia, including: Rossland, Victoria, Lake Louise, and the Fraser River. The photographs are labelled in the print with a number, brief caption, and the name of the photography company. Some photographs also have a hand-written caption. The album cover was removed for preservation reasons and is stored with the album. All of the prints in this album have been digitized and described at the item level, please see lower-level descriptions.
