The series consists of 3,686 photographs documenting a broad range of behind the scenes personal and political activities of members of the Liberal Party of Canada (LPC). While many of the photos were taken by Paul Szabo, and include a small selection of photos of himself, an equally large number were taken by other LPC members, who then forwarded them to Paul Szabo, who was known for collecting such material. The photos were taken between 1994 and 2002, generally on 35mm film, and then scanned, and are found in the first sub-series. Photos from 2003 to 2011 are generally original digital photographs, and make up the remaining sub-series.

The photographs not only document many of Paul Szabo's activities, but also include such events as the 1995 Quebec Referendum, the Pierre Trudeau funeral, Prime Minister Paul Martin, LPC Party Leaders Stephane Dion and Michael Ignatieff, trips and visits, and a wide variety of miscellaneous activities of numerous different members of the LPC.
