This sub-series (formerly sub-series C IV) contains views of locomotives and train cars, including some interiors, of various American and a few Canadian Railways including Central Vermont; Delaware & Hudson; Rutland; New York Central; Michigan Central RR; Grand Trunk; New Hampshire; Boston & Maine; M.& N.H. RR; Rome, Watertown & Ogdensburg; Passumpsic; Boston & Albany; Lake Shore & Michigan Southern; Linsley; Delaware, Lackawanna & Western; Boston & Providence; New York, Providence & Boston; Maine Central; Canadian Pacific; R. & A. RR; Atlantic & Pacific; Canada Southern; Dominion Atlantic; Long Island; Philadelphia & Reading; Central Railroad of New Jersey; North British; Illinois Central; Baltimore & Ohio; Cincinnati, Hamilton & Dayton; Southern Pacific; Erie; M.I. & H.; M.W.R.; C. & N.W.R.; N.Y. & M.B.; P.S. & P.R.R.

Additionally there are views of steam locomotives of Central Mexico; copies of printed items, engravings, portraits, relating to railway companies; locomotives identified as built by Wm. Mason Company (New York) Locomotive Works (Rome, New York), Rogers Locomotive & Machine Works (Paterson, New Jersey) and the American Locomotive Company; log and other trains of private companies of the United States; copies of an Old Colony RR poster; copies of engravings of engines; some European railway engines & stations.

This sub-series also contains positive transparencies showing landscapes, unidentified farm and people scenes in a Pictorialist style that are marked "Salon" and "Darby 1896"; views with people, (including "Maude Niblo, model"); autos, ca. 1919; girls in bathing suits; views of electric streetcars; copies of list (record book) called "Manchester List", 1860s.; unidentified city, building and people views, probably American; unidentified family, picnic & informal snapshots; unidentified studio portraits of family groups; harbours and harbour vessels; "Fisher's Residence, Harrison Avenue, Taunton, 1902"; bridges (including a wrecked bridge); "Bruce" family portraits & other people (unidentified); bi-plane "Red Elephant"; dogsled at Loretteville, Quebec; children at Lunenburg, Nova Scotia; man on a bicycle; St. Clair Tunnel, Sarnia; two positive transparencies of Ashcroft, British Columbia; a "carriage repository"; and also contains views of a life saving station and boat.

There are several views of Toronto, Ontario including gasoline stations (particularly of Imperial Oil), 1926; street and harbour scenes, 1913-15; break in a water main; construction of streetcar tracks, by Toronto Transit Commission ?, Toronto Harbour Commission ? or City Engineer's office ?; street scenes from 1912-1928 showing the Canadian Pacific Railroad, Grand Trunk Railroad, cranes, traffic, construction, and wagons; and steamers and other vessels in the Toronto harbour.
