This sub-series (formerly sub-series E X) contains prints of steam locomotives and train cars of Canada and the United States, some done in a pictorialist manner, some organized alphabetically, a number built by Rogers Locomotive Works, Paterson, New Jersey; H.K. Porter Company, Pittsburgh; ca. 40 views of engines by Baldwin Locomotive Works, and including rail lines such as Esquimalt & Nanaimo; New York Central; New York Central & Hudson River; Nova Scotia Central; Delaware, Lackawanna & Western; Boston & Albany; Canadian Pacific; Grand Trunk Pacific; Intercolonial; Canadian National; electric cars of London & Port Stanley Railway; and various others.

Other rail views include a group of a wreck of an artillery train, Bay of Quinte railroad at Enterprise, Ontario, June 9, 1903; Newfoundland Railway scene, 1902; prints mounted on black pages, as though from an album, showing Canadian National coaches of various types and Huntsville Portage Railway, (modern prints); unidentified group of photos showing details of steam engines under construction, particularly a "2 piece firebox and combustion chamber"; a group of Railway snowplows and shovels, some from Cooke Works, early 1900's, but largely uncaptioned; details of parts of Railway cars and coaches, some with maker's name (e.g. Koppel) and predominantly dated ca. 1940-1979; a small group of outsize prints of steam and diesel locomotives and coaches of American railways such as Danbury & Norwalk and Roberval & Saguenay; "Cycle No.1" of Brighton Beach Railroad, a monorail engine; prints stamped "Compliments of Ernest F. Stilling's, Pullman Conductor, Bangor, Maine"; ca. 60 prints of electric trolley cars & tracks in streets of Windsor, Ontario by photographer Evan Rogers; and ca. 30 prints of a train in Panama.

Additionally, the sub-series contains views of Newfoundland whaling ships (one by S. H. Parsons, 1901); 2 scenes at Coteau Landing, Quebec; one print with tag: "XIII Salon International d'Art Photographique de BRUXELLES 1931"; two views which were submitted to 1956 Popular Photography contest; one print with tag: "Darwen Exhibition of Photography 1936"; and some views of trucks.
