Subjects include: photos of nursing station, health centres, hospitals, facilities at Lekhaven, Germany, 1922 and Gdynia, Poland, 1938-1939; Quarantine Services including smallpox, ca. 1906 and leprosy victims, 1921-1927; photos of northern sanitation; Inuit, Indian, and Eskimo patients, families and dwellings.

There is also one photograph album, which contains 134 photos of ships, settlements and inhabitants along the coasts of Labrador and Baffin Island. Included are views of RMS Nascopie, Cartwright Labrador, MV Mont Murray, Hebron Labrador, Frobisher Bay, Saglek Bay, Inuit settlements and activities.
