This unit was redesignated several times during the Second World War. The monthly diaries are titled with the contemporary unit title. Serving in Italy during July 1944, the 1st Canadian Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment, RCA, became the 1st Canadian Light Anti-Aircraft Battalion, and was redesignated under the Infantry Corps. During November 1944 the Battalion became the Lanark and Renfrew Scottish Regiment. Transferred to the Northwest Europe, the Regiment was designated the 1st Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment (Lanark and Renfrew Scottish) in March 1945.
