Included are a narrative of Laurentide Air Services for 1924, a summary of commercial aviation in Canada, 1919-1930; Canadian Airways Limited Bulletin, ca. 1933; "Canada's Aircraft Industry" by W.J. McDonough, 1944; "Canadian Aircraft Industry", 1939; "Aircraft Manufacturing in Canada", 1959; and the Role of Imperial Oil in the Development of Aviation in Canada, 1948.
Fonds also contains photographs (copies and originals), 1929-1960, depicting miscellaneous aircraft, personnel, and operations of various commercial air services; settlements in Labrador; and portraits of A.G. Sims.Provenance :Biographie/Histoire administrative :Sims, Arthur George, 1907- : Arthur "Tim" Sims, aviator, was born and educated in London, England, and came to Canada in 1927. During the late twenties and early thirties he was employed by Canadian Wright Limited, British Aeroplane Engines Limited, Northern Skyways at Rouyn, Quebec and in 1935 co-founded Dominion Skyways. During World War II, he flew with the Royal Air Force Ferry Command.
