Power including details on ships in Halifax Harbour, observations on social sporting events, such as the 1931 schooner race between the BLUENOSE and the GERTRUDE; reports on the 1917 Halifax explosion; and from 1938 on, reports on management concerns within the pilot service. This material is located on microfilm reel M-5472.

N.L. Power was a pilot in the Halifax Pilot Service for the years 1906-1954. In 1937, he was appointed captain of number two pilot boat.
