Fonds also contains correspondence on the Ayerst Award and the Maud L. Menten Commemorative Plaque, as well as a series of Bulletins published by the Society.Provenance:Biography/Administrative history:Canadian Biochemical Society : The Canadian Biochemical Society (CBS) was formed following a meeting of biochemists on 9 October 1957 held at the University of Ottawa. The purpose of the Society is to foster the science of biochemistry. Its founding officers were: A.M. Wynne, President; E.G. Young, Vice-President; D.H. Laughland, Secretary; and L.-P. Bouthillier, Treasurer. The Society affiliated as a founding society with the Canadian Federation of Biological Societies also in 1957, and was incorporated by Letters Patent dated 10 July 1979.Additional information:General note:Presented in 1983 by the Canadian Biochemical Society through Dr. Barry D.
