Fonds consists of a pay list for Captain Owen Richard's Company of Prince Edward Militia, 1 to 24 July 1812; records of the 2nd Regiment, Prince Edward Militia, 1839-1844, including nominal returns and the proceedings of a court martial, 1839, as well as a nominal roll for Captain Daniel Gilbert's Company, photocopy, 1859-1862, 15 pages.

Canada. Militia. Prince Edward : The Prince Edward Militia was formed in Prince Edward County, Ontario. By 1822, 409 men were on the muster role of the 2nd Regiment. Many of the men were United Empire Loyalists who fought in the American Revolutionary War.
