This film is a dramatization about a newly-married couple named Bill and Peggy. Bill's father and sister come over for the day. Peggy is worried because there is no food at the house and that she is not an experienced cook, especially with cooking meat. The film points out the value of meat. The sister takes Peggy to the meat shop and there they discover that all meat can be healthy and that you can buy cheaper meat that is just as good if you refrain from buying the more popular cuts. The owner of the shop demonstrates the different cuts. Diagrams and graphs demonstrate which cuts are in popular demand, which ones are not and that some cuts of meat are just as good as others. When they go home to cook dinner, the sister goes through different ways to cook meat. She refers to a demonstration that she presented and a flashback is used showing her in the kitchen at the demonstration. She shows how to cook meat and stresses the importance of using a low temperature when cooking. Back in real time, they go to serve the food and Bill does not know how to cut the meat properly. A flashback shows the father talking about a demonstration of meat cutting. A man is cuts meat to show how to cut different kinds of meats. Back in real time, the family moves into the living room and discusses the importance of meat and people's health. Meat provides thiamin and other vitamins. A varied diet of fruit, vegetables, meat and dairy help sustain good health. <37mn 54s>
