Jason, keen to be a pilot when he grows up, encounters George (played by Jim Martin), a former bush pilot in Northern Manitoba and currently a volunteer restoration expert at the museum, who explains the history of several antique aircrafts on display. Jason listens attentively while George recalls several "close calls" from his flying days in the North and demonstrates the painstaking and complex restoration work involved in recreating a Vickers Vedette Flying Boat. Program includes pan shots of the aircraft on display and close-ups of the restoration work in progress. Archival footage of several aircraft including the Beachcraft Expeditor, Junkers aircraft, Super Fokker, Fairchild Husky, de Havilland Beaver and the Vickers Vedette are seen throughout the program.Language:EnglishNotes:Detailed holdings information: -
