The controversial poet, well into his seventies, is shown reading from his various books of poetry, and walking around the grounds of his son-in-law's castle in Italy, where he lives. We see him in old footage and still photographs as the narrator recounts events from his career. Pound was always fascinated by symbolic language systems and before reading from an ancient book of Confucius' philosophy, he demonstrates the use of Chinese character writing. Before the film on Pound we are shown one of Canada's most beautiful homes, designed by Arthur Erickson of Vancouver.Language:EnglishNotes:Detailed holdings information: -
