Subjects covered include: Bethune's selflessness; his teaching people first aid; Bethune's refusal to eat better food than the soldiers and other people; Bethune's giving training at a medical school in 1939; his treatment of wounded soldiers; his giving medical treatment to soldiers and civilians; and his inspection of the medical facilities operated by the Chinese.
