The program includes a speech by John Porter, Musée du Quebec and interviews with several people including, Jerzy Czartoryski, Andrzej Garlicki, Ed Sliwka, Jan Ostrowski, Hamilton Southam and Sister Nicole Perron. Interviewees discuss the histories behind the various items on exhibit from tapestries, paintings and saddles to furniture and sabres. They discuss how the items were secretly carried out of Poland shortly after World War Two and hidden away in a convent in the province of Quebec and held there for fifteen years since Premier Maurice Duplessis would not release them to the communist government of Poland. It was after many years of negotiations that the artifacts were returned to Poland and later returned to Quebec to be exhibited there. <58 min 45 s .Language:English / FrançaisNotes:Detailed holdings information: -
