Fonds consists primarily of his published works. His book manuscripts include "Journeys Back to Arab Spain" (1981), and "Arabic Contributions to the English Vocabulary" (1996) co-written by Salloum and J. Peters. The collection is also comprised of five culinary articles (burghul, garlic, hummus, lentils and olives), and an article on the impact of Arabic on English and European languages. Also included are works of poetry, in particular a 25 page poem titled "Prairie Rulaiyyat: Where Breezes Blow".

Salloum, Habeeb, b. 1924-2019 : Habeeb Salloum, author and public servant, came to Canada with his family in 1924, and was raised on the family homestead in Saskatchewan. He served with the Royal Canadian Air Force, both in Canada and overseas in Great Britain (1943-1945). He later worked as a public servant in the Department of National Revenue, Canada Customs, until his retirement. From 1962 onwards, he was very active as a writer and lecturer, covering a wide range of subjects from political affairs and poetry to the culinary arts of the Middle East. Salloum passed away in 2019 at the age of 95 years old.
