Clemow, Francis, 1821-1902 : Francis Clemow, born in Trois-Rivières, Lower Canada, was educated at Upper Canada College, Toronto. He was director and manager of Ottawa Gas Works and a member of the Ottawa City Council. He was a member of the Senate, 1885-1902. See: Johnson, Direcrtory of Parliament, p. 124.
