Sub-series consists of documents issued by the United Nations War Crimes Commission (UNWCC), a fourteen-member body, organized in London on January 11, 1944. The commission investigated and collected evidence of war crimes. The records include lists of war criminals and witnesses, circulars and minutes of some of the commission's meetings. These records were mostly file dockets from the Department of External Affairs central registry, see file block 4060.
